Our adult skills courses are a great opportunity for you to do something you love and improve your physical and mental wellbeing. Sessions are welcoming, inclusive and suitable for all skill levels.
Courses usually run between 8 – 12 weeks. These courses are fun non-qualification courses, so there are no assessment, exam or entry requirements.

Get paid to learn with an apprenticeship, a real job offering training, experience, and salary. Open to anyone 16+, apprenticeships span industries and provide valuable skills, recognised qualifications, and opportunities with employers across the UK.

Studying business at New City College offers excellent opportunities. Close to London’s financial hubs, you’ll gain insights from mentors, work placements, and international business visits, preparing you for the UK’s thriving and diverse business sector.
Mahnaz Asgari will be on hand to give information to anyone interested in studying business at NCC. There will be information for applicants, presentations and course workbooks.

Our courses offer hands-on learning from industry-experienced staff. Training includes opportunities to undertake paid work in our commercial restaurant, OKN1. Here you will work under experienced professional head chefs and prepare dishes for paying customers. Join us for a masterclass in mocktails and Sushi, and front reception tasters with tea and coffee. Head Chef, Abris Molnar, will be on hand to answer any questions.

Dive into the world of wallpapering and stencilling, transforming any space with your unique touch. Get hands-on with car mechanics, understanding how every part works together. Try your hand at mosaic art, creating a custom coaster, and explore carpentry by building something functional and beautiful. Each project brings its own challenges, rewarding your creativity with every step.
We offer industry-experienced tutors, hands-on courses and pathways into apprenticeships or employment in building services in our state-of-the-art facilities. Join our knowledgeable tutors and engage in various activities including pipe bending and vehicle inspections.

Creative Industries at Hackney offers comprehensive courses ranging from digital media to performing arts, all tailored to equip students with the tools for success in the fast-paced world of creative professions. Come and connect with Andrew Jordan, our Senior Curriculum Manager and explore the creative courses that suit you.
Visit M207 to have a go at screen printing tote bags, create your own character in Media in B202 and then finish the day off with a visit to our student art gallery show in our Events Room.

The UK’s health and social care sector is expanding rapidly, offering numerous rewarding careers. Our courses prepare students with mandatory work placements, enhancing employability through frontline experience and connections, including NHS talks and university visits, for roles in healthcare and social care. Meet with our expert Senior Curriculum Manager, Ilyas Mehter and take a look at our health surgery and nursery rooms including our interactive set-up for the day.

Reading, writing, speaking and listening are all skills needed by employers, so boosting yours could help you take the next step to a better job. All courses lead to a recognised certificate, whether it is an entry-level course, or a level 1 or 2 course (equivalent to GCSE). Hackney English Senior Curriculum Manager Della McCartney will be on hand to offer information and guidance on the day.
